PROBLEM
With the recent legal reforms, our country has taken a more progressive stance on LGBTQ+ rights, but there’s still a long way to go; the stigma associated with alternate gender and sexuality expression exists. Creating a dialogue for the same is a pressing issue in India.

Strategy
The strategy is elaborated below in the form of an infographic. The project looked into how educational institutions within India should have designated gay-straight alliances. They could be in the form of activity clubs, which should engage in activism collaboratively with organisations working for the same cause. Following this channel, the initiative can then reach online, public, and participatory spaces, where the message could eventually trickle down into the masses.
The intent is to work towards a system of gay-straight alliances within schools and colleges which would create a safe space for LGBTQ+ students and sensitise other students and stakeholders to be more aware and supportive individuals.
